I recently worked on The Artist - a French, silent, black-and-white, period piece shooting here in Hollywood. It is an interesting production to be sure, and I'm not exactly sure what its distribution prospects are, though it will probably be a hit in France... Still, it was good fun to work on location downtown LA in a beautiful old theatre and Jazz Age restaurant and wear some authentic 1920's clothes. Here are a couple pics:
I THOUGHT I remembered you worked on this! It was driving me nuts so I scrolled back through here to see whether or not I was crazy. Probably strange to look back on this, knowing that it might stand a chance to win an Oscar or two this year! :) I can't wait to see it - this Friday!!
ReplyDeletethanks, Lindsay! yeah, it's getting huge buzz. just ran into a friend yesterday who was a stand-in on the project and has seen it. he thought it was great -- and spotted me a couple times, so keep those eyes peeled :) (I'm sitting right next to Jean, the main actor, in a theater during a movie -- and also I'm wearing a tux and heavy make-up as one of the guys introducing the finale...)
ReplyDeleteplease let me know how it is!
