Thanks to those of you have called/e-mailed with concern about me regarding the fires out here. Thankfully I am safe, though the effects of the fires are noticeable here. Apparently this is the largest wildfire in LA County in 100 years. The sky is often a strange color, when it IS clear you can see the giant mushroom clouds of smoke from the hills, and now there is ash everywhere. This morning ash covered my car in a dusty sheen, and breathing the air isn't as pleasant as it once was...
It is not a good scene, and especially when you combine the dryness with 100 degree temps, the fires show no sign of slowing down, but at least for now, Art and I are okay.
Thanks for the update. I was wondering where you were in relation to the fires. Glad you're okay so far.
