Last night I went to the Hollywood Bowl for the first time. Though I wasn't very familiar with the music -- Ray LaMontagne -- compared to my group (probably compared to most of the 17, 500 folks there), it was a great experience. An outdoor venue, built directly into the Hollywood hills, what a place to see a concert! A highlight for me was opening act, Jenny Lewis' cover of The Traveling Wilburys "Handle With Care."
Oh, and besides the perfect sound & the beautiful view, the best feature of the Bowl is that you can bring anything in! Beer, wine, food - people had coolers and picnic baskets full of stuff. Good times!
