Another Print Audition & Disney Christmas

I had another print audition today for a jeans company.  It was a bit of a drive to the company office in brilliantly named City of Industry, but I'm just glad my print agents are getting me out there!

In unrelated news, as a ABC/Disney employee, Gina got to go to the company Christmas party at Disney World last month -- luckily for me, she got to bring a guest!  They shut down the park at 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 -12:30 a.m. it was only open to Disney employees and their families/guests.  It was a lot of fun getting to go on just about any ride without much of a wait, and they had specials on food and drinks, too.  Here we are enjoying our $2 churros in front of the castle.  Thanks Gina and Uncle Walt!

Vroom!

I had an audition for Porsche today.  Unfortunately the job wouldn't involve me tearing around a track or driving along a seaside cliff in Europe, it's just a print gig.  But, since it's been a long time since I've had an audition of any sort, it was nice.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable New Year.  I spent my day as a bellman walking alongside the Cunard float in the Rose Bowl parade.  It was quite a surreal experience as there were SOO many people! (somewhere close to 900,000 I heard) Wisconsin was well represented with a ton of red in the stands lining the 5-6 mile route through Pasadena...

My feet are a bit sore today thanks to walking in dress shoes, but otherwise I'm no worse for wear.  The Cunard float itself was a pretty big hit with the judges (winning the Queen's Award for "The Best Use of Roses") and fans alike thanks mainly to the band and dancers aboard I think.  Thanks to those of you who messaged or texted that you saw me -- my folks said they got a good close-up view on ABC.  Getting up at 3:30 a.m. on New Year's Day was a bit rough, but it was good to start 2011 with some work!
